I've read that the Electric Parade is back.

- Have they cancelled Spectromagic? Are they running both each night?
- Is it something they are only doing for a certain amount of time?
- Does it take the same path as all the other parades?

1.Spectromagic is no longer shown, no word on if or when it might come back.
2.They show Main Street Electrical Parade just about every night.

1. Spectro will be back.
2. ELP is only on the "non-party nights" this time of year.
3. Starts at the Fire House in Town Sq. and exits out by Splash Mt. in Frontierland, same as "non-party" and CADCT day parade.

Thanks so much for the information! I'll miss Spectro...but I've never seen the other parade...so I'm looking forward to it in December.

Which parade is better in your opinion?

All things Disney are great, just some things are better than others. LOL

Actually, I think I like Spectro better than the "new" version of ELP. Kind of liked the "old" version a bit better but it may just be the nostalgia factor.

Do they only have one parade on the party nights? I am going to MVMCP on the 12th and want to be prepared to find a good place to sit before any parade begins.

There are usually two performances of the Party parade on party nights.

8:15PM and 10:30PM were the start-times last year.
(Fireworks at 9:30PM)

I figure those will be the same this year.

Don't forget, ELP is NOT the party parade.

Main Street Electrical Parade is charming, but it lacks the Wow factor of Spectromagic.

I agree for WDW but I'd say ELP works better than Spectro at DL. I've seen both parades at each park (not CA) and Spectro seems a bit large for Main Street at DL while, for me, ELP seems a bit small for WDW. For those who don't know, the buildings and castle at DL are a lot shorter than at WDW. So for me each parade works best in the park it was originally designed for.
