Main Street Electrical Parade and crowds

When we saw MSEP on 10/4, I was shocked at how crowded it was, and have read other posters had the same experience. Has anyone witnessed an evening where they've unexpectedly added a second performance of the parade? I know last October, they added second performances of Spectro at relatively the last minute (meaning, the week before they changed the schedule.) Did they perform MSEP twice a night during the summer?

We were there in August. Some nights there was no parade, but on others MSEP was shown twice each night, at 9 and 11.

I've read a lot of comments that folks didn't like the Main Street Electrical parade. When we were there in August, it appeared to be quite popular based on the number of folks who were there to watch it.

As with Spectromagic, if you want a front row seat, you should plan to find your spot 1-2 hours ahead of time (often the 2 hour mark is necessary).
