My DH and I went to Epcot 13 years ago before we had children. We remember seeing a robot singing to Joe Cocker's I'm Feeling Alright. I believe he was in Innoventions. Is he still there? We're hoping to show him to the kids when we go down in a couple weeks.

Thanks!

I don't recall a robot, but there may be one. There are also talking trash cans, etc. (remotely controlled by a 'handler'). I don't recall specific times or places ... but I know there have been such items when we went.

Are you speaking of the interactive robot called SMRT-1? If so, he's been gone for quite some time.

Was it a tiny robot about 6 in tall and was he perched up toward the ceiling and very talkative?

I remember him but he has been gone for a while. Not sure exactly when they removed him but I thought he was pretty neat.

Alec Tronic was on display at Epcot from 1994 through 1997.

These days he can be found at Imagineering's HQ in Glendale, CA over by the sculpture shop where the figure still sings/performs for the occasional visitor.

I just did a search for Alec Tronic and found him on youtube. That's him! Too bad he's not there anymore. He was awesome. We were there in Jan of '97, so he didn't stay too long after that.

Thanks for the info guys!
