My hubby and I are going to MNSSHP on Oct. 7th (so excited) and we were originally going to go as Snow White and her Prince Charming but now have decided to go as Alice and the Mad Hatter (classic not Tim Burton). I have my costume and we have the all important hat for hubby. Now, we have to get the rest of his. We could only find the Tim Burton costume in stores so we have to be creative to make the original. We want to do a bright orange jacket with dark green pants and a blue vest and bow tie. We are going to go to second hand shops this Monday and see what we can find. It will be hard to find those things in those types of colors (except the vest and bow tie) so I think we are going to look for them in either white or light khaki colors and dye the fabric ourselves. Does anyone have a fabric dye they recommend? I need one that will leave the color vibrant and doesn't bleed. I was thinking of going with Dylon dye. Also, any dyeing tips are also very much appreciated!:mpumpkin:
