My DH, DS (2) and I are heading to WDW in feb for 5 days. We leave WDW on Thursday, and we want to stay in the area so we can hit US on Friday. (Really I just want to go to WWOHP!) Can anyone recommend an inexpensive but decent hotel in the area for 1 night? TIA!! :mickey:

In the past, I have been able to use discount hotel sites like _ _ _ wire and _ _ _ _ _ line to find 4 star hotels in Orlando for about $60 per night. Very good value. There are a LOT of hotel rooms in Orlando that need to be filled. You should be able to find a good deal fairly close to US and IOA

Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista is great. If you want to stay across the street from Universal, they have a Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Doubletree that have really great rates right now, too.

I believe there is a LaQuinta on Major Blvd not too far from Universal. Fairly new and very clean and comfy. DBF and I stayed there about a year ago.

When we drive to WDW, we arrive a day early for our WDW ressie. We stayed at Knights Inn on 192 right outside if Disney for less than
$40/night for the two of us, includes continental breakfast.
Nothing fancy, just a smallish, but clean room.
Considering all the big hotels all around, I am surprised this tiny mom and pop type of place still exists.

The Comfort Inn LBV is now Clarion Inn, I noticed driving by it. We enjoyed staying at the Holiday Inn and Suites on Major Blvd

We stayed at a very nice Fairfield Inn that was across the street from Universal.
