Early reservation in studios

We have early breakfast reservations at Hollywood Studios before they open and we would like to get some pics in front of mickeys hat. Are you aloud to get close to the hat or do you have to go straight in Hollywood and vine

I believe it is still roped off at that point ( at least it was 3 years ago) and you will be directed toward Hollywood and Vine. It may have changed though so hopefully someone who has just visited can let you know!!
