What exactly is Grand Gathering?

What is Grand Gatherings? All i can see is it is something for groups of 8 or more. We are gonna be a party of 9 and i didnt know if this is something i should look into.

It's just a way to link all of your resort reservations so your rooms might be closer together. They will help with dining reservations. Plus they have some special events. I don't know what they are offering now but they used to have a special breakfast at Tony's in the MK, a wishes fireworks cruise and things like that.
