Ever gone on the ToT with someone who didn't know what the ride was all about, especially the many drops?

We're taking my teenage BIL to DW this Fall and I can't wait to hear him scream haha.

How are you planning on pulling that off? It seems like a pretty tough ride to conceal the concept of, what with the screams and the doors opening and closing in the elevator shafts.

My thoughs exactly. The screams will probably give it away.

You'd be surprised at how you can fool people on those rides ;)

I took my sister in law on this ride and she had no idea what she was getting herself into(even tho we told her all about it) and she screamed so loud, I am sure she was heard through the entire park. We still talk about taking her on that ride 3 years later!!!!:haha:

I just took my 8 and 11 year old on it. They thought it was one big drop also. When the elevator started to move, it scared the stuffing out of them. :covered: We were able to put all of it back in:mickey:

I knew what to expect on my first ride, but still, I could not stop laughing the entire ride! I kept laughing for 15 minutes afterwards!

I've only ridden it once. And I didn't even know it had multiple drops and it was different every time.

It made me feel so sick

We've ridden ToT 190+ times (WDW, DLR and DL Paris) and now listen to guests in the boiler room lines looking for first timers and what their expectations are.
