While I love most of the dining at Disneyland/DCA/hotels. I didn't care for Cafe Orleans. I had lunch there today with DD. Service was slow, but Josh was very nice. I had a salad of salmon on top of spinach and other greens with carmelized walnuts, grapes and green onion. It was very tasty, but not worth the $15.99. DD had the kids mac n cheese. She liked it but it would take a larger portion to fill her up. (Granted the kids meals are designed for ages 3-9 and she is 10.5) In general the food is ok, service is slow, the chairs are hard...lol, and the prices are high. We tried it, won't return

On to Tomorrowland Terrace (Breakfasts). On two occasions we ate there for a quick breakfast.... big mistake. First time was just after they re-opened. DD had the breakfast burrito (we had them at Village Haus when TT was being refurbed). The TT burito looked good, but DD didn't like the greet tortilla and it was way too spicy for her. I tried it and it was very spicy. I had the kids breakfast plate of scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit and potatoes.... very tasty. An hour later I was is such distress and stomach pain. After a trip to first aid and some anti acids, I felt better.

This past Saturday (8/14), we ate there again. We both had the breakfast plates. DD didn't care for hers (she is not a picky eater either) She ate the fruit, some of the egg and her milk. I ate the rest of her plate and mine. Guess what.... an hour later and I was back at first aid for more anti acids. I must be allergic to some seasoning they use. We will cross TT breakfast off of our list now too.

On the good side... we have never had a bad meal (breakfast/lunch or dinner) at Carnation Cafe. We should have ate there today, Oscar (one of the original chefs) was there and charming as ever. He was greeting everyone on Main Street when the park opened. It is always such a treat to see him. He is living history at Disneyland:mickey:

I didn't care for Cafe Orleans the one time I ate there either. SLOW service, lukewarm food (I had the french onion soup, and it was barely warm...I returned it...the next one wasn't much hotter). I also had a Chicken Ceasar Salad that was supposed to be "cajun blackened", but it was just plain grilled chicken. It was a major disappointment for the $20 or so I spent on that meal.

And Tomorrowland Terrace...I've NEVER eaten a meal there, in the 9 years since I've been a local/AP holder. That food always looks SO nasty, and it has a bad reputation online for serving the worst food in DL park...

Sorry you had bad experiences. Now you know where NOT to go. ;)

I had heard he'd retired as chef, but was working just as a greeter. That's awesome!!!

That is how I am too, and why we are always at Whitewater snacks or Storytellers. There are usually no crowds there and the food is much better. I will stick to what I know:thumbsup: The big plus is getting out of the parks for a relaxing meal.:mickey:
