View Full Version : DS Did His First On Air TV Report!!

Chris (22) graduated from Syracuse (Newhouse) in May and got a reporter/producer job at the local NBC/CBS station in Syracuse right after graduation. After being trained as a producer (for the weekends), he was finally able to report during the week (Wed--Fri). He did his first story on Thursday and it was the lead-in for the 5:30pm news about the local beaches in Syracuse being closed due to bacteria. I'm so proud of him and it was so awesome to watch him on TV. He reported last night about a local woman being picked by Susan Boyle to record with her. Can't wait to watch him next week.

Yes, I recorded his first story. They can be seen on-line and I posted his first story on Facebook for the family in Massachusetts to see. He's had this dream since Kindergarten (he loves to talk and could have a conversation with a rock) and it's so cool to be able to watch him on TV.

I found it too. He's a natural, and seems like he's been doing this for years. He did great!!!

Well, Last night Chris was live in the studio on the 5, 5:30 and 6pm news regarding a rabid cat. He was extremely nervous during the 5pm news; but was more relaxed on the later two newscast. The 6pm newscast he was at the anchor desk with the anchor and had to tell the audience a little about himself --- that he graduated from SU and that his parents are from Ithaca --- a local boy. So cool. And yes, I have it all on tape!!:)
