El Pirate y el Perico?

Does anyone have a site that has the schedule for El Pirate y el Perico? We are going to be in WDW from August 22 to 28 and when I asked my son what attraction he wanted to go first, he said he wanted to get a taco at that Pirate place first. :D

Hi neighbor! I don't know if there is a set schedule anywhere maybe someone else will come along with more information. If it makes you feel any better - I'd like to think you're chances are pretty good that you'll find it open. We were there that exact time last year and we were lucky enough to find it open one day around lunch time. We've always wanted to eat there but had never found it open before. It was a nice little surprise. Good luck - Have a great trip - we check in this year on the 20th and leave on the same day as you.

Good luck! It never seems to be open on any of our trips! Not sure where you can find a schedule but I hope your son gets his taco!!!

I've only eaten there once and loved it. Does anyone know why it isn't open all year 'round?

I don't know if it was just the timing of our visits or not, but it was always open when we were there. Then? during our last 3 visits? it wasn't. I got the impression that, once the switched the menu over at Pecos Bill's to the "dining plan" menu, they closed El Pirate y el Perico. Again...I'm probably wrong...this is just my assumption.

It is one of my favorites and tends to be open during high season and the holidays...I would think it would be open on your trip

We were in WDW last week. We ate there on the first afternoon for lunch on our trip, at the end of our trip, it was closed. Not sure why!

I was walking by this place one day last week and wondered why you don't hear more about it. I'm going to make it a priority to try it next time I see it open. :pirate:

El Pirata was open for lunch last month. Never got there though.

It has NEVER been open on our trips - 8 since 2003!!! Always thought it was a 'false front' building!

Just found this on another site:

"Everyones favorite "often-closed, seasonal restaurant", El Pirata Y el Perico Restaurante, will be opening for lunch during the free dine package period from August 15 to September 4 2010. "
