July 30, 1907 – Writer and actor Roy Williams, who has writing credits in the Disney animated classics “Saludos Amigos,” “The Three Caballeros,” “Cured Dick,” “Donald’s Double Trouble,” and “Make Mine Music,” and played Roy, the “Big Mouseketeer” on “The Mickey Mouse Club,” was born in Coleville, Wa.
July 30, 1932 – Disney’s 1st Academy Award winner for Best Cartoon Short Subject, and 1st full-color animated film, “Flowers and Trees” was released.
July 30, 1932 – Disney’s Silly Symphony cartoon “Just Dogs” was released.
July 30, 1942 – Disney’s WWII film “Out of the Frying Pan into the Firing Line” was delivered to the U.S. Government.
July 30, 1943 – Disney’s Goofy cartoon “Victory Vehicles” was released.
July 30, 1948 – Disney’s Donald Duck cartoon “The Trial of Donald Duck” was released.
July 30, 1955 – The “Tomorrowland Boats” attraction opened at Disneyland. (Closed Jan. 15, 1956)
July 30, 1956 – “Mineral Hall” opened at Disneyland’s Tomorrowland.
July 30, 1973 – TIME magazine ran an article “Disney After Walt Is a Family Affair” in this weeks issue.
July 30, 1975 – Tiffini Hale, a member of the Disney Channel’s “The All New Mickey Mouse Club,” was born in Palm Springs, Ca.
