July 28, 1931 – Disney’s Silly Symphony cartoon “The Cat’s Out” was released.
July 28, 1940 – Voice actor Philip Proctor, who can be heard in such animated features as “Monsters, Inc.,” “Toy Story 2,” “A Bug’s Life,” and “The Lion King,” was born in Goshen, Indiana. (Comedy fans may recognize him as a member of the Firesign Theater.)
July 28, 1951 - Disney’s 13th animated film “Alice in Wonderland” was released.
July 28, 1951 – Disney’s True-Life Adventure Featurette “Nature’s Half Acre” was released.
July 28, 1987 – Disney’s special computer animated cartoon “Oilspot and Lipstick” was released in Anaheim, Ca.
July 28, 1989 – The Disney/Touchstone film “Turner & Hooch,” starring Tom Hanks, and Mare Winningham, was released.
July 28, 1993 – The Main Street branch of the Bank of America closed at Disneyland.
July 28, 1994 – The Disney TV series “The Sinbad Show” aired for the last time on FOX.
July 28, 1994 – The Disney Vacation Club Resort “Vero Beach” opened to guests in Vero Beach, Fl.
July 28, 1995 – The 400th Disney Store opened in Rochester, N.Y.
