Just read this info on another site:

If things go as planned, Via Napoli should be opening it's doors for business on August 5 2010. Reservations are available beginning August 6 for dates beginning September 10 2010. The restaurant will be table service only, and the Disney Dining Plan will be accepted.

Thought I'd share the news.

Thanks for the info! We're considering a walk-up for the first week it's open if the menu appeals to all in our group.

There's a lot of speculation about the menu, based on both a a preview held last week and the menu at a "sister" restaurant located in DLR. For the most reliable information, keep your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2010/07/reservations-open-aug-6-for-via-napoli/) which today talked about Via Napoli.

I guess I missed something. We ate in Italy a few times and loved the food. I was looking forward to going back on our next trip. Is Via Napoli replacing what was already there, or is it another establishment within the pavillion?

20 inches is about 1/2 meter.

That must be a typo. The sizes at Naples (DLR) are 10 inches, 14 inches, and 20 inches (1/2 meter).

Try Naples at Downtown Disney at DLR! It's essentially the same thing. GOOD restaurant! No ADR required...

Not to go off topic, but....

Do you think that, since Via Napoli is more in line with the rest of the WDW 1TS restaurants, that they will re-evaluate Tutto Italia, maybe make a couple adjustments to the menu and relabel it as a 2TS "Signature" restaurant? Their prices are already close to 2TS places.....

I like the concept and the menu sounds interesting - does anyone know if it will be included in the DDP?

Oops - found the answer to my own question: Via Napoli is on the DDP as 1 ts credit.

Lisa, if you want to go to the "mother lode" so to speak, you can try Naples 45, right out the back door (the 45th St. exit) of Grand Central Station in NYC.

Until early September, Via Napoli will be 'walk ups' only!!! You should not have a problem.

I guess I missed something. We ate in Italy a few times and loved the food. I was looking forward to going back on our next trip. Is Via Napoli replacing what was already there, or is it another establishment within the pavillion?

Via Napoli is a new restaurant and is NOT replacing Tutto Italia (at this point in time, anyway!) My personal thought is that Via Napoli will be 1TS and Tutto Italia will be "upgraded" to a 2TS restaurant. [Deserving or not!!]
