Cape Anne,Mass

We'll be going to Cape Anne next month for a couple of nights.We'll be staying at the Rockport Inn and Suites.Is anyone familiar with this area.We've never been but we plan on a whale watch out of Gloucester(no,not me in a bathing suit)one day.Are there any good restaurants in this area and are there any ideas for things to see?We only live a few hours away in R.I.Thinking about going over to the Clambox in Ipswitch.

Entire In Law Population lives in Essex, Beverly, Hamilton and FIL had his boat at Cape Ann Marina for years.

Tom Shea's in Essex, Woodman's in the rough to name a few!

Hammond Castle in Glouster.
