I'm trying very hard to get my daughter a particular something for her birthday at the end of July. For some reason, I can't find anyone selling it in Canada - found it on Amazon.com, but they won't ship to Canada! (It's just an Air Hogs R/C plane for crying out loud). So when they asked for an alternate address, I put down Disneyland Hotel - it'll arrive during our stay this upcoming week. question is, what will the hotel do when a package comes addressed to me? I'm assuming this will work out somehow, since I know lots of people who mail themselves stuff at Disney World. Anyone know?

Honestly, I don't know if they will keep it. If it isn't attached to a guest reservation number and check in date, they can reject it for security reasons. I'd call the hotel and let them know about it, and follow it (tracking) online so you know when it will arrive, and that day, if you are not at the hotel, call them again to let them know.
You could have just PM'ed me. I would have let you ship it to my house and I would have driven it over to DLH during your stay! Next time, ask your Intercot friends for some help! There are a few "DL locals" around here. ;)

I had stuff (a BBQ piece) shipped to POFQ in WDW for a similiar reason. Shipping was just TOO expensive. I notified the hotel and we had no problem at all. I can't remember now if they notified me when it arrived or if I had to go to the front desk and ask about it. I would contact the hotel just to let them know that it is expected.

You're welcome. I live so close, and go so often with my kids, that it really wouldn't have been an inconvenience at all. I love to help people out.

Considering the cost to put a bag on an airplane these days, I am sure that the Hotel will be very accomodating when it comes to having things shipped to you there, especially since you dont know your room number until you check in. More and More people are shipping their belongings to their destination rather than travelling with them. Can be a cheaper way to go. You shouldnt have any problems, Disney is so customer service orientated.
Hope you have a great trip

It worked perfectly! Turns out that they never got my email telling that it was coming, but they handled it anyway. I got a very nice phone message saying that a UPS parcel was waiting for me at bell services, and did I want them to send it up?
