Saw (on another site) that Flame Tree Barbeque will be undergoing a rehab from August 9 - September 19 and will be closed. Please tell me that they are not going to change the offerings/name/etc. This is one of our favorite CS stops in all of WDW!!!!

We arrive September 20, just in time for the reopening!!

Hope it's not a menu change again. I'm still trying to get over the last hack of the choices. Still my favorite, but I've got the rub at home, so we can enjoy some anytime.

That's a pretty long rehab for a fresh coat of paint. Wondering if they are going to work on the queue area. Although it hasn't been as busy as I remember it being.

We will be going 8/11-8/19 an dthat was on our must do list - I guess it is not anymore. Oh well. That was one of my favorite places to eat the last 2 trips. :(

Five weeks seems short to me to do more than repaint, repaper, repair, ultra-clean, and replace some fixtures/equipment. they might change the physical space some, but I can't imagine it changing too much. Offerings, though, will be up to them, as they could change at any time.

Hopefully the rehab removes the yellow jackets. ;)

That is the only thing wrong with Flame Tree IMHO.

We lost a good number of platter choices, one included some ribs, chicken, and some pulled pork. It was priced less than the current prices too, but prices are bound to increase. I believe it used to be $7.62, can you tell I eat there a lot!

They can do whatever they want, so long as they do not get rid of the pulled pork and ONION RINGS. It's one of the EXTREMELY few places on property where you can get good onion rings (that's not a TS restaurant).

I just checked rehabs and closures on both Intercot and elsewhere. Saw no mention of a closure.

Any new info on the refurb? We're headed to AK this weekend and were really looking forward to Flame Tree!

This is one of our all-time favorite places to eat at WDW. We missed out on our trip earlier in the month because of the rehab. I hope they don't play too much with the menu!

They've changed the reopening date to the 25th. Sorry!

Must have just happened then....As of Monday, another site still had it at Sept. 19th. Thanks for the update!
