We are going in less than a month and we are still looking at different CS places in all the parks. What are some of the best in each park. We are looking for something more the bugers and dogs.

Our Family Favorites are:

MK: Cosmic Ray's...the ribs and chicken are delicious!

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons...try the Grilled Ahi tuna on a salad and the desserts...mmm...
Also, the CS all throughout the world showcase offer some good eats!

AK: Flaming Tree BBQ

Studios: Backlot is good. ABC commissary is also pretty good. Not my favorite eating park in general.

If you like different drinks, the world showcase has got some good stuff! Grey Goose slushies in France, awesome :marg:in Mexico!
Enjoy!

I can only tell you where we've been and we enjoyed them all.

MK: I can't believe that we didn't do a CS here after spending most our time time at MK! I can tell you that Cosmic Ray's smelled good as we passed by.

EPCOT: Liberty Inn--DH has bbq sandwich, I had a hot dog, DD probably had chicken nuggets

DHS: Toy Story Pizza Planet---pizzas were standard stuff

AK: We didn't do CS here, but we would have done Flame Tree BBQ

I can refer you to the Great 8 According to Us results (http://www.intercot.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=171771&page=3), in which we voted on our favorite quick service places.

Broken down by park, the favorites would be:

MK:
Pecos Bill Cafe,
followed closely by Columbia Harbour House,
Cosmic Ray's, and Casey's Corner

Epcot:
Sunshine Seasons,
followed closely by Tangierine Cafe and Boulangerie Patisserie

DHS:
Backlot Express

AK:
Flame Tree Barbecue (the top vote getter of all CS locations)

Downtown Disney locations rounded out the top 8, with Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express. There were actually more than 8 restaurants listed due to ties.

We eat CS every day, but don't want to eat "carnival food." Disney Counter Service is much more than hotdogs, hamburgers, and chicken nuggets. Sure, they have that everywhere, but there are many other options. AND, they don't cost too much more.

Magic Kingdom:
- Fresh fruit and bakery items at Mainstreet Bakery
- Turkey Bacon Wrap or Caesar Salad at Cosmic Ray’s
- Chicken Noodle Bowl at Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station
- Tuna sandwich or Fried Fish basket at Columbia Harbour House
- Hotdog at Casey’s Corner on Main Street. Baseball-themed place that I love!
- “Dole Whip” icecream float in Adventureland. YUM!!

Epcot:
- Sunshine Seasons. Hands-down the best CS restaurant in Disney. Asian food, rotisserie chicken, salads, panini's.
World Showcase going clockwise:
- Mexico: Cantina de San Angel counter service tacos and enchiladas.
- Norway: Kringla Bakery has Danishes and homemade Norwegian breads.
- China: Lotus Blossom Café for stir fried shrimp.
- Germany: My favorite! Somerfest for a bratwurst.
- Japan: Yakitori House for Teriyaki Chicken.
- Morocco: Tangierine café for Falafel wrap with couscous.
- France: Crepe’s at Crepes des Chefs de France.
- UK: Yorkshire County Fish Shop.

Animal Kingdom
-BBQ ribs at the Flametree BBQ, or a pulled-pork sandwich
- If you have to go to Pizzafari, then get a Caesar Salad or Italian sub. Disney pizza is horrible everywhere.
- Tamu Tamu in Africa has a Tuna Pita or a Turkey and siwss on Focaccia.
- Sweet & Sour pork at the Yak And Yeti Counter Service.

Disney's Hollywood Studios:
- Backlot Express has grilled Turkey and Cheese with red peppers sandwich
- Studio Catering has a Pressed Tuscan Deli sandwich and a greek salad.
- ABC Commissary has a Chicken Curry with rice.

MK - Columbia Harbor House - not just because the menu is different...it's a great themed restaurant, which always has open tables and spaces, especially if you eat upstairs. Quiet, too. Great way to relax in air conditioning and getting a little downtime from the park. Also, the best restroom in the MK (clean, and not used as much as others).

AK - Picnic in the Park - I can't believe no one has mentioned it. Great food, and lots of it, plus a little reusable bag, and you can pick your own scenery. Other than that, Flame Tree. It used to be Tusker House, until they decided to make it a TS.

HS - Ugh. Don't really like any of them, but Backlot is probably the best. The ABC Commissary is the *worst* CS in all of the parks.

Epcot - Sunshine Seasons, hands down. Variety, variety, variety. Though this last time we ate at Tangeriene Cafe at the Moroccan Pavilion, and were very impressed.

DTD - Earl of Sandwich

DHS Starring Rolls has the biggest amount for your lunch. Sandwiches are huge and full of meat and the desserts are gigantic and good

MK Columbia harbor House for their shrimp basket
Pecos Bills have huge burgers adn great fixin bar

Epcot Sunshine seasons all the way

Animal Kingdom Flame Tree for sure

I am surprised to see Flame Tree ultimately won the survey. It's not my favorite type of food, so it doesn't appeal to me. I didn't realize how popular it was among average Disney guests.

Here is my list, categorized by location:

Magic Kingdom: Columbia Harbour House
Epcot: Tangerine Cafe, Sunshine Seasons
Disney's Hollywood Studios: None
Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree (not my favorite, but I recognize its popularity and quality.)
Downtown Disney: Wolfgang Puck Express (my vote for best overall counter service restaurant on property.)

Hope this helps!

I have to agree with everyone's suggestions. They're all right...all the food is great....ecspecially in Epcot. But, I have to throw my final vote in for Tangeriene Cafe. Really GOOD food, and, if you're on the Dining Plan, the CS meal is enough to fill you up for a full day.

Easy...

MK - Columbia Harbour House

Epcot - Sunshine Seasons

AK - Flametree BBQ

DHS - Pizza Planet (everything is so mediocre at the studios)

Also..side note, while DHS seems to have weak counter serivce eateries, MK has plenty of good one's.

After our last experience at ABC Commissary this place is the WORST  We had a burger meal which was cold and the burgers were like carboard - never going in there again

MK-favorite hands down is Cosmic Rays, great chicken, decent ribs and love the greenbeans! Plus there are other choices for even the most picky eater (fortunately, we don't have any!) You can easily share a chicken/ribs combo plate.

AK-We all enjoyed Yak and Yeti CS last December.

Epcot-The best CS for our family is the Tangierine café. Love the combo plate-great to share.

DHS-Starring Rolls! We tried it last time and the sandwiches were delicious.
Also enjoyed the pizza and salad combo at the Anaheim Produce (?) area (the street going down to ToT and RnR; across from the Beauty and the Beast theater). Definitely can share that meal, too.

DTD: Earl of Sandwich-my husband still talks about how much he enjoyed his sandwich.
Wolfgang Puck Express-we had a very nice counter service breakfast there...lots of food!
