What a great surprise!! Happy Anniversary!

There are no direct resort to resort buses but you can most certainly transfer at Downtown Disney or any of the parks to other resorts to look around or go to their restaurants and shops.

In addition to taking buses:

You'll be able to reach the Contemporary & Grand Floridian on the Monorail

The EPCOT Resorts (Boardwalk, Beach/Yacht Club, Swan/Dolphin) are a short walk or boat ride from EPCOT & Disney Studios.

You can take a boat from Downtown Disney if you want to check out Old Key West or the Port Orleans Resorts.

There's a boat from the Magic Kingdom that will take you to the Wilderness Lodge.

Because you're staying at Polynesian, you can take the monrail to the Magic Kingdom, and use the bus depot there to get to another resort.

As long as Magic Kingdom is open, you can us that transfer point. Otherwise, you would us the Downtown Disney depot.

You can visit any of the resorts you'd like. Disney welcomes all guests to dine at any of the resort restaurants.

From the Poly, you can easily access the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary via monorail. Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge can be accessed via boat from the Magic Kingdom. Other resorts can be accessed via buses by connection at one of the parks or Downtown Disney.

There are various websites that post the menus to all restaurants in WDW. Take a look. Many, many of us on INTERCOT (and other Disneyphiles) bop from resort to resort all the time for meals, to shop, to scout out a location for our next Disney vacation. Feel free.

So many people never set foot outside their home resort other than the parks. Disney transportation will take you where you want to go. If you don't know how to get someplace you want to go, simply ask a cast member. They will tell you how to make the trip. It is only by exploring other resorts and the parks does one get familiar with how the larger puzzle fits together. Enjoy...and don't worry...if you get lost, you're still in WDW. What could happen? How bad could it be? Another great story to tell later.
