June 11, 1912 – Director writer, producer, and narrator James Algar, known for his work on “The African Lion”, and “The Living Desert” was born in Modesto, Ca.
June 11, 1919 – Actor and Disney Legend Richard Todd was born in Dublin, Ireland. His Disney credits include the live-action features “The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men,” “The Sword and the Rose,” and “Rob Roy, the highland Rogue.”
June 11, 1928 – Disney’s Oswald the Lucky Rabbit silent black & white short “Sky Scrappers” was released.
June 11, 1928 – Disney’s Oswald the Lucky Rabbit cartoon “Poor Papa” was released.
June 11, 1929 – Walt Disney’s trademark application for the image of Mickey was filed with the U.S. Patent Office.
June 11, 1945 – Disney’s Educational film “Something You Didn’t Eat” was made for the Cereal Institute, O.W.I., War Administration, was delivered.
June 11, 1958 – The Disney film “Scotland” was released.
