I just stayed at Beach Club and I was able to use the free Wi-Fi in the lobby. I was just curious as to if all resorts had that in the lobby or if it was just deluxe resorts.

WiFi exists in public areas of many of the deluxe hotels. It's free for DVC members staying on DVC points (at their resort) and should be charged $10 a day for everyone else. Check your room charges, maybe you got lucky...

Interesting. I must have been lucky. I never even had to put in any personal information in, like room number, etc!

Someone may have been using an unsecured wireless router... As I mentioned, nothing is free at Disney, even the "free" DVC WiFi is the result of increased maintenance fees charged to members.
