Sharing on the dining plan?

I don't think it's possible but I figure I'd ask:

For our trip this year, my mother in law is wondering if her and her daughter can split a dining plan (like sharing all their meals)?

Sort of.

You can't "share" a dining plan, since all people in the room have to have the same package. So, they would both have to get the DDP.

But, at individual meals, you can share. The only places where sharing isn't allowed, is buffets, or "family-style" all you can eat meals.

If they are staying in the same room they both have to purchase the DDP as the pp said everyone in the same room must have the same package.
