Vero and Oil Spill

Does anyone know if Vero beach has been affected by oil spill? We are arriving at the end of next month for our first visit to Disney's Vero beach resort.

Vero Beach is on the Atlantic (east) coast of Florida and the oil spill is in the Gulf of Mexico which is off the west coast of Florida. I don't believe the oil spill will ever affect Vero Beach.

It is just now reaching the AL coast and FL panhandle. I think your trip to Vero will be okay, but I saw a story on CNN just last week that showed 6 different scenarios where the oil could reach the Atlantic and even go as far north as the NC beaches if the oil hits the loop currents just right.
