Yes, it will be closing due to the Fantasyland refurb. Pretty much every Disney site has info, but look at the Disney parks blog for all the pictures & details.

We were on a Disney tour last month which brought into Toon Town as part of the tour. Our tour guide speculated this area would be closing some time around the end of July as the tour she leads was not accepting any bookings beyond that time.

Our tour guide back in January was very cool and kinda telling us what might be where as we were walking through on our tour.

It was always so crowded but it would be nice if they could move it.

Yup...pretty soon there will be no more Toontown Fair in Fla. I think it will be a nice expansion from the sounds of it!

Yep its true! We were there last week and took video of every portion of toon town. Took lots and lots of pictures too. Everyone thought I was crazy but then I explained that TT would be closing. :(

We made a special effort to spend time in Toon Town in April knowing it would be the last time we'd see it..

We are heading down in a couple of weeks and will grab a fast pass and let our DKs ride the Barnstormer a few times as it will be Goofy's last hurrah in ToonTown. We also are planning on taking lots and lots of pics of the houses since no one has a clear idea about what will happen to them in the future.

I like Disneyland's version better. I'm still sorry to see it go, I wish they had improved it instead of expanding Fantasyland.

Having DDs that are growing up, I am looking forward to the expansion. I know it probably is a downer for those with younger ones.:mickey:

The Barnstormer is staying but will be re-themed. The time line for that I have not heard and I do not think Disney has released anything regarding that.

I personally never felt like toontown felt like a "toon town". The buildings were cute, but it never felt like a good land to me. Just a small nook in the back of the park
