Does anyone know when the room/package rates for 2011 are going to be released? It's only been a month since we've returned home, but I'm ready to start planning again.:mickey:

There were no bounceback offers?

Not for 2011. When we checked out May 10 the bounceback offers only ran through Dec 31, which irked me since I'll be back in January.

To answer the OP, rates are released end of July or early August for the next year.

Kindof defeats the purpose of bounceback. I imagine that poeple normally vacation once a year.

That was my thought, too. Maybe this part of their "scaling back the discounts" idea.

Yeah, the bean counters need to stop micro managing the parks... Really, if people want to go, they will go, release 1/2 decent pricing to REWARD guests who frequent the parks far enough in advance so that poeple can take advantage of it. As the dates approach and occupancy fills, you do like everyone else does and jack up prices. This penalizes poeple for waiting to the last minute and give them more cash in case they need to do some last minute "planning" for people they didn't expect (admin costs for cleaning room, last miute purchasing of food for the restauants, etc).

They seem to be living paycheck to paycheck these days, wroking towards some magic number. Which is the reality on Wall Street I understand.

Here they are, leaving someone who WANTS to plan a trip with nothing to go on, and giving them ample opportunity for someone else to come by and scoop up their acation dollars.

I'm used to planning about a year or more (cruises I used to plan almost two years in advance) and if I can't make plans here, I'll go there as long as I can plan it.
