Fastpass before park opens?

If you have a breakfast reservation before the park opens, can you get a fastpass before anyone else? I know after you leave the restaurant they hold you back until the park opens but I just wonder how that would work... :confused:

When we have done this, they hold you until the first group passes by that entered the park at the normal time. No advantage to early entry except for pictures.

It's been about 5 years since I have had a breakfast reservation before the park opens and I couldn't remember if you could get one before everyone else makes the rush in... Thanks
