My husband and kids were stuck on Splash Mountain for a 1/2 hour last week. They gave them fast passes for any ride in the Magic Kingdom.

Haunted Mansion by the graveyard, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain in the dark (they eventually turned the lights on), Big Thunder Mountain at the end, Small World (kind of torture), Maelstrom by the upper troll, Primeval Whirl for a long time once.

We got stuck at the top of ToT for about 5 or 10 minutes. They turned on the lights after a while, and then all of a sudden the ride started up. It was pretty weird to see the entire ride in full light, but a cool experience.

When the ride was over they offered to take us straight to the front of the line to ride again with no wait. It was great to get two rides back to back with no wait!

We've had short interruptions on several rides but the only ride I recall being stuck on was Tower of Terror. The ride stopped functioning right at the very end and just before the car turns to face the elevator doors. We needed to wait until maintenane folks showed up and got us operating again. Still, the brought us right through for another ride. And...wouldn't you know it, we got stuck in the same spot a second time though not for as long a time!!

BTM had to walk back. Splash MT. Horizons. Test Track. And the scariest ToT after we loaded into the drop zone on stormy night. They turned on the lights and a man appeared in the bellhop outfit to "lower us to the basement." We were allowed to get right back on. The reason they gave for the ride stopping.......it was struck by lightening.:scared:

It's a Small World......Oh Lordy......my 10 year old almost REFUSES to go on that ride our next trip because of it! We all had quite the headache when we exited. Although we were only "stuck" for maybe 4-5 minutes - it seemed like an ETERNITY!!! LOL!!

Splash Mountain & Haunted Mansion. Haunted Mansion was horrible - I was riding alone and stuck for over a half hour -right before the ballroom scene and in front of a slamming door knob...talk about a headache!

I got stuck on Splash once. It was right before the big drop. It was fine, with the exception of the announcement every 30 seconds about brer bear causing a commotion down stream, that got old fast. Then a lady about 3 cars back started freaking out just as they got the ride restarted, and tried to jump out of her car, which of course made the CM's shut the ride down again. It ended up being about 40 mins or so we were stuck there. We got a few fastpasses for it though!

Oh, geez... Small World, Railroad, Haunted Mansion, TTA, Splash Mtn, Monorail, and this was all in one day, last week... :( Of course, it was all only about 5 minutes each time.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority with my Mom who did NOT like that part of the ride! ;)

DH and I were stuck on Dinosaur when it was new and it stopped right when you go back in time and see the one dino eating the other! The lights finally came on and we had to walk out, it was cool to see that ride with the lights on!

I've been stuck on too many to count, but most of the time it's just a few mins!

We've been stuck on Haunted Mansion a few times. Once in the hallway with the rattling doors, once in Madame Leota's Seance scene, and...my personal favorite...once right when our cart was leaning backwards. Fun! We've also been stuck on Test Track, Pirates of the Caribbean, and...another favorite here...on the Killimanjaro Safari. This one wasn't a technical problem, though. The delay was caused by an ostrich that just didn't want to move out of the safari vehicle's path. We got tons of good pictures, that day.

Test track at about noon on the hottest part of the ride last about 15 minutes. I'm glad we had water with us. It still wouldn't be as bad as being stuck on It'sa Small World!"

I was stuck on ToT for half an hour, the we asked if we could ride again and they escourted us to the front of the line. This was in the 90's, before fastpasses. Have also been stuck on Haunted Mansion for about 20 min.

Only once on the Buzz Lightyear ride. It was probably for no more than 5 minutes, but they turned the lights on (I believe the ride was stopped because someone had dropped something) and we lost all our points. Not a big deal though.

I've been stuck on SSE so many times I can't even count. Likewise for Horizons (RIP). I have also been stuck on IASW, but who hasn't? Never been evacuated, though. Kinda wish I would be. It sounds fun!

a week and a half ago on splash mountain....we had just passed the riverboat scene and got stuck by the next set of animontrics....we were there for a long time (heard zippetty-do-da a mind numbing hundred times)...they finally turned the music off...but all the animatronics kept moving which was a bit creepy without the sound (kind of a Westworld effect)...we sat there for a long time (over 15 minutes) through several attempted restarts and received anytime/anyplace fastpasses when we finally got off the ride.

I got stuck for about 10 minutes in the haunted Mansion on my own at the scene where the candlestick is floating. I swear the candlestick started moving closer to me. It was creepy!!

We got stuck on the TTA for about 20 minutes when my nephew was 4.5 years old. It was in one of the areas that is semi-dark. After sitting there for awhile, he yells out "HELLO? Is anyone out there?" It was so funny. Another time my other nephew and I got stuck right as the monorail enters Epcot as you make the loop by Journey into Imagination. We were stuck up there for about 30-40 minutes because the monorail in front of us was broken down. We also stopped for about 5 minutes in the darkest part of Haunted Mansion when my nephew was 2.5. I was in the car in front of my sis, BIL and nephew and he was quiet for a couple of minutes and then let out a blood curdling scream. I started talking to him so he knew they weren't alone back there and he was alright, especially since we started moving not too long after that. Now I make sure I bring a tiny flashlight if I'm with little ones.

I'm curious - what happened there?

Also, for anyone who has been stuck on Space Mountain (or EE, or RnRC, or any other rides where fear of heights might be an issue!) how the heck did they evacuate you? There is no way I would get out of those cars and climb down the flimsy little ladders I always see on the side of the ride! :humph: I'm (a little!) afraid of heights, so I'm curious whether they force you to get off the ride? As foolish as it sounds, I'd rather sit in the car for hours then climb down from the highest part of the Space Mountain track :scared:

Everyone shouted "Woo hoo!!" And they waved. Cast members are very nice!

a lot of the shorter waits, especially on the constant movement rides (peter pan, haunted mountain, spaceship earth) may not be malfunctions of the ride but they may stop the ride for a minute or two to let someone handciapped get on the ride. someone that can not move along with the ride and jump in.

the only ride we got stuck on was the Pinochio ride at disneyland. and was cool about it was everyone had to get off and walk to the front. My mom couldn't do that because she is (was, she just got her knee replaced) one of those people that is handicapped...so they waited until everyone was gone, and then one of the CMs walked along the car to the front w/ my mom in it....he told us lots of stories while we were going...

i have been stuck on lots of rides, including test track, haunted mansion, big thunder mountain, tta, universe of energy, spaceship earth, and last but not least splash mountain.

most of the time we just sit for a while then the ride starts back up, i think we were pulled off the ride only two or three times.

when i was a little younger i went on would never go on splash mountain, the drop freaked me out. one day in the park my dad convinced be to go and so im on the ride and everything is going fine, we then start the climb up to the top for the big drop. and just as we were about to crest over the top the ride stops. i have to say that was the longest time of my life.

Short waits on a number of rides. though our longest about 15 minutes or so we were stuck on Splash Mountain just as we were about to ascend the ramp for the big drop. Man those vultures were annoying!:D
My youngest DD and I got stuck on Tower of Terror just before the car goes into the elevator shaft for the drop sequence. Felt bad for the folks stuck in the shaft. After about 5 minutes the lights came on (very interesting) we sat for another 10 minutes or so until a couple of cast members escorted us to a waiting 'real' elevator for the trip down. Great bunch of folks stuck with us, we all laughed it up and had a fine time!

We have been stuck many times on various rides; we had to be evacuated from TTA it stopped just before the overlook to the lines in Space Mountain. The worst stoppage was on the Land ride in Epcot, during the summer in the greenhouse.

My friends and I got stuck on Big Thunder Mountain about 50 feet from the unloading station...right before you make the turn into the station. Cast Members had to come out and escort us off the ride. We found out from them that their infra-red cameras had detected someone (a fool) had somehow stood up during the ride. Why? Who knows. We were given a free FastPass for any ride in the MK for anytime. We were glad to use them a couple days later in the heat of the day for Space Mountain!

Pirates of the Caribbean near the section where dead men tell no tales, over and over and over......

Also get stuck regularly at Test Track. Oh, and Nemo ride in EPCOT. Drove me nuts because we were there for about 15 minutes while CM's tried to figure out what was wrong.

The first trip I took to WDW after they opened Test Track, I was so excited to go on and experience the ride, especially when you go outside and go really fast. So we get on the ride, our car starts around the indoor track and we stop at the section where they test the anti-lock brakes... then again just before we went into the room where they show what heat can do to a car (thank god we stopped OUTSIDE the room... it was the dead of summer)... then, it was time... the barrier test! I knew what was coming and was so excited! The car started to pick up speed, faster, faster, faster... STOP. UGGGGHHH we stopped right before the outdoor section. When the ride started back up our car basically crawled outside and slowly picked up speed till the ride was over... I was sooo upset. So when we went back the next year I couldn't wait to get on and ride the whole ride straight through. Needless to say, the ride stopped again halfway through. So the 3rd trip back I wasn't feeling too confident of getting a full ride, but alas, the ride started, and didn't stop till it was over. I finally got the full Test Track experience  . And it only took 3 trips and 3 years to do it, haha

Our last trip in September, we got stuck at the top of Everest, where the track is "broken" for 20 minutes, on a 90 degree day! After about 20 minutes of waiting for the ride to start and go backwards, cast members came up and unhooked the restraints and we had to climb down the stairs inside the ride! It was incredibly hot and when we got to the end, they gave us warm bottles of water and Fastpasses to go on again. I can assure you we did not want to go on again right away and gave our fastpasses away. Same trip, got stuck on Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Monorail, Test Track, Toy Story Midway Mania and Small World. Made for a very frustrating trip, and at the time I decided I did not want to go back anytime soon...but am now planning a return trip. I guess it's kinda like childbirth? You forget all the bad stuff and think of all the great memories!!

We got stuck on Pirates of the Caribbean under Davy Jones' waterfall for 25-30 minutes. The biggest CM they had :chewy: came out wearing bright orange waders, jumped in and pushed us back to the loading dock.

Got Fast Passes for anytime for our whole group, even those who weren't even on the ride.:high5:

I FINALLY talked DD 6yo into riding TT last week. Our on-board computer screen did not work and we got stuck in the tunnel where its pitch black. We set there for several minutes and no lights or even sound - nothing saying the ride was temporarily stopped or anything. It was all I could do to keep her from freaking out!

My very first trip to WDW, and my very first ride on POTC, we got stuck near the very end of the ride, where we could see the unloading dock, but where right next to the leaking barrel, for about twenty minutes. Needless to say everyone was beating a path to the restroom when we got off.

Never had to evac, and never been stuck more than twenty minutes, but the worst "stuck" I ever had was on the side of EE, right before the train goes over the mountain. Right at the part where you look one way and you see the Taj Mahal, and the other way you see the North Pole, cause you up so high. We were there for about two minutes but it seemed like two hours.

I have been stuck on many rides, but the most memorable was The Great Movie Ride. The ride broke down right in the Aliens scene. We couldn't tell the real audio alert that the ride had broken down from the fake audio for the Alien stuff.
We eventually caught on and all had to get off, an walk back through the 1st half on the ride, on foot. Not only did I have to walk past a drooling alien, but we had to walk through the 'ol west shootout' during the gunfight scene. I know they use blanks and smoke for the effect, but it was kind of terrifying! I felt like I was in a warzone :P

Haunted Mansion was shut down for just about 5 minutes. I was about to board when three (security??) people approached a man already sitting in a doom buggy, asked his to get up and they escorted him away from the ride. It was tense-- I think the guy was up to no good.
