Apr. 20, 1914 – Betty Lou Gerson, the narrator of Disney’s 1950 classic “Cinderella,” and the voice of Cruella De Vil in Disney’s 1961 “One Hundred and One Dalmatians,” was born in Chattanooga, Tn.
Apr. 20, 1935 – Disney’s Silly Symphony cartoon “The Robber Kitten” was released.
Apr. 20, 1937 – Actor George Takei, the voice of First Ancestor in Disney’s “Mulan” and “Mulan II,” was born in Los Angeles, Ca. (He is best known for his role in Star Trek as Mr. Sulu.)
Apr. 20, 1945 – Disney’s Goofy cartoon “African Diary” was released.
Apr. 20, 1946 – Disney’s 8th animated feature, “Make Mine Music” premiered in N.Y. The film’s 10 segments included “A Rustic Ballad, “A Tone Poem,” “A Jazz Interlude,” “A Ballad in Blue,” “A Musical Recitation,” “Ballad Ballet,” “A Fairy Tale with Music,” “After You’ve Gone,” “A Love Story,” and “Opera Pathetique.”
Apr. 20, 1959 – Actor Clint Howard, the brother of Ron Howard, and the voice of Roo in Disney’s 1968 classic “Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day,” was born in Burbank, Ca.
Apr. 20, 1980 – The Disney TV show aired “Sultan and the Rockstar.”
Apr. 20, 1986 – Disney’s one-hour movie “Mr. Boogedy” aired.
Apr. 20, 1989 – Disney’s Educational Film from the EPCOT Educational Media Collection “The Children of Mexico, was released.
Apr. 20, 1990 – The “Pendleton Woolen Mills Dry Goods Store” closed in Frontierland at Disneyland.
