I was wondering why the deluxe resorts have value pricing from July 19- October and the other hotels do not. Isn't summer more of a peak season?

My guess would be because the summer season is usually more families, and maybe families opt more to stay at a moderate or a value because of their family size and price. Just my guess.

Yep, it makes sense for them. They want to entice larger families (4+) to book one room at a deluxe, vs. two rooms at a value or moderate. The reason is simple: many times, once people stay at a Deluxe, they want to return to the deluxes. They want to lure those who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford, or choose to spend the money on a deluxe, by "closing the gap" between the price of a moderate and deluxe, making the deluxe seem like a better value for the money.
