Does anyone remember when the Carousel of Progress had a different song that was sang inbetween the different time periods? This was in the late 80's or early 90's. I was a kid and seem to remember a song that went "This is the best time of our lives". Am I crazy or did this actually happen?:mickey3:

I vaguely remember this, but I don't think it lasted long. It may be Carousel of Progress, but some things should just not change.

Yes, that was the song until the current renovation was done (quite some years ago now - the last scene is beginning to look like "Yesterdayland" again).

Both songs are available on The Official Album of Walt Disney World.

The current song "It's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow", is actually the original song from the 1964 World's Fair and from the 1967-1973 run of the Carousel of Progress at Disneyland, and the one I grew up with. When CoP was moved from Disneyland to WDW, it opened in 1975 with a new song, "Now is the Time". In the 1993-94 time frame, when Tomorrowland went through a total refurb, the CoP theme song was changed back to the orginal one.
