Need a quick answer!

Helping the band boosters plan the band's Disney trip. Someone keeps insisting to me that outside coolers, drinks, and food are allowed in the parks. Are they? I don't think they are.

The answer is probably on this site somewhere, but I don't know where to look. Thanks for any help!

We have never taken in a cooler, but we always pack snacks and water in our back pack. We have even on occasion packed a full meal. I have never been stopped by anyone.

food & drinks are allowed in, but I've never seen a cooler.

Here is the official "policy" regarding coolers:

PROHIBITED in Disney Theme Parks:
6) Items with wheels, such as wagons, skateboards, scooters, inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, two-wheeled or three-wheeled conveyances, strollers larger than 36" x 52", suitcases, coolers, or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations), and any trailer-like object that is pushed or towed by an ECV wheelchair or stroller
