To be able to go to the Top of the World Lounge and watch the fireworks, do you have to make a reservation? If so, is it done on a daily basis or is it first come?

Thanks!

When you want to go up to the lounge, you check in at the desk in the lobby. They escort you to the elevator and use a special key to let you go to that floor. There doesn't seem to be a reservation system, but it doesn't hurt to ask the attendants in the lobby.

No reservations - first come, first served. They recommend getting to the lobby at least 30-45 minutes before the fireworks. They told us in October though that they have never had to turn anyone away. We went up twice to watch fireworks and both times there was PLENTY of room - not crowded at all. :mickey: Enjoy!

I was told by a DVC cast member that all guests should receive an invitation for at least one night; if you were going to be there several nights it might be later in your visit that you would be invited. So totally inaccurate?

At Bay Lake Towers??? I stayed there last October and I never received an invitation... Invitations are not required...

The time we went we didnt need a reservation if i remembered rightly when we asked the desk they seemed to be taking people up at 15 min intervals ,but i am sure that was because it was nearing the time of the fireworks

We were there the week before Palm Sunday. We did not need ressies. Maybe at a busier time or when the lounge is better known you might need ressies.

Later in our stay we found out that from our Bay Lake view balcony, we could still see the MK fireworks if we leaned out just a little over the railing. We stopped going to the lounge after that.

Nothing formal at all about the use of the BLT lounge. We stayed at BLT in January and used the lounge quite a bit. No reservations or invitations required. You do need to go to the lobby to have a CM key the elevator to take you to the 16th floor.

There was no regular waiting time for the elevator. You ask the cm and they walk you over to the elevator and that is all there is. First come first serve but if the lounge is full you will not be able to gain access. From what I understand there has been less usage than expected so maybe at some point the access process might change. For now though it is simple.

One thing I would recommend is not to cut it too close to the firework time. Try to be at the lobby a good few minutes before the fireworks start time. :mickey:
