Just visitng bar at Cali Grill

Going to WDW May8th - 15th. Obviously it's a little late to make ADR's for the perfect time due to it being late. (still need to try to call to verify).. However, my question is...

Do you need to have an ADR just to go have a drink or two at the bar in Cali Grill and watch the fireworks (of course). I'm thinking maybe a dinner elsewhere around 6:30-7 and then make way to Cali Grill for the after dinner drink and Wishes show,

Thoughts and/or past experiences?

1) If they are busy, no way.
2) It all depends upon the crowds and the 2nd floor CM's.
3) A favorite guest tactic is to go for drinks to view fireworks.
4) This way they get a view with spending big bcuks.
5) Of course, WDW wants the bigger bucks from dinners.
6) So, it is a toss of the coin.

If there's room at the bar, they will probably let you up. Like Rusty says, though, it all depends on the crowd and the CMs working that night. It's worth a try, but don't count on it.
