Mar. 19, 1892 – Actor Don Barclay, the voice of the Doorman in Disney’s 1950 classic “Cinderella” was born in Ashland, Or
Mar. 19, 1928 – Actor Patrick McGoohan, the voice of Billy Bones in Disney’s 2002 animated feature “Treasure Planet”, was born in Astoria, N.Y.
Mar. 19, 1928 – Disney’s Oswald the Lucky Rabbit cartoon “Bright Lights” was released.
Mar. 19, 1941 – Lois Wilson, who worked for WDW for 25 years as the wardrobe hostess at the Yacht and Beach Club Resort and the Grand Floridian, was born in Ocala, Fl.
Mar. 19, 1946 – Singer Ruth Pointer, of the Pointer Sisters, who would sing “Streets of Gold” in the 1988 Disney animated feature “Oliver and Company”, was born in East Oakland, Ca.
Mar. 19, 1946 – Disney’s Educational Film “Bathing Time for Baby” was delivered to Johnson & Johnson.
Mar. 19, 1947 – Actress Glenn Close, the voice of Kala in Disney’s “Tarzan”, was born in Greenwich, Ct.
Mar. 19, 1948 – Disney’s Mickey Mouse cartoon “Mickey Down Under” was released.
Mar. 19, 1950 – Edgar Rice Burroughs, the creator of “Tarzan” passed away.
Mar. 19, 1953 – Disney’s true life adventure short “Water Birds” won an Academy Award. It was the 1st Academy Award ceremony to be televised on National Television.
