Well, it looks as though we'll need to stay off-site for our December trip. My in-laws are part of RCI and are choices are:

Orange Lake Resort
Summer Bay
Sheraton Vistana
Vacation Village Parkway

Has anyone ever stayed at any of these? Thoughts?

I have stayed at the Vistana Reosrt and think this would be a good choice for you. It's an easy drive from the airport and is only a couple of miles from DTD. There are many resturants and shops within a few miles if not walking distance. We loved the resort. It is large but easy to get around and there are many pools to choose from as well as a small cafe with ice cream stand. The rooms were large and comfortable and the washer/dryer there is a blessing if you have small children. I can't give opinions on the others as I have not stayed in any of them.
