With NOJ being back at MK it makes even more short days during Sept. Looking at the calendar I see:

Fri 3rd - MNSSHP
Wed 8th - MNSSHP
Fri 10th - NOJ
Sat 11th - NOJ
Tues 14th - MNSSHP
Fri 17th - MNSSHP
Tues 21st - MNSSHP
Fri 24th - MNSSHP
Tues 28th - MNSSHP
Thurs 30th - MNSSHP

That's 1/3 of the month not to mention the park closes at 8:00pm on the 15th & 22nd.

Thankfully this only effects one of our days we planned to go to MK which is the 14th. But it's no big deal. We'll still go until just before MNSSHP starts and head over to Ohana's for Dinner.

Anyone's plans effected by those dates?

We are going september 16th to the 26th and have 3 nights affected. I am not going to complain this year though since my birthday is the 18th and it's a non party night. Last year we had to buy the party ticket to spend the whole day in my favorite park, MK. We have done the party so many times in the past it just is not interesting anymore to do every year. It's nice for 1st timers and maybe every other year for us but nothing changes and some of the benefits have been taken away and the ticket price has skyrocketed. We are skipping it this year without any regrets.

Go to the party if you want to stay longer, I highly recommend it!!! It really doesn't surprise me though with all the dates for the party. Its growing in popularity more and more every year

Where did you find the dates for MNSSHP 2010? The only dates I have come across were from last year.

Although the dates aren't set in stone because they haven't been announced yet when the MK closes at 7:00 pm it is a pretty good indication that it will be some sort of party night.

I would doubt that Sep 3 and 8 are MNSSHP. It's a bit early for them to start.

Last year, the party started on the 4th :mpumpkin:

What is MNSSHP and NOJ? And what does this mean for a trip in September?!

MNSSHP means Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party that takes place in September and October. NOJ means Night Of Joy, a Christian concert event that takes place 2 nights in September.

Where would NOJ perform in MK? On the Castle stage? I can't think of any place else since they removed the Tomorrowland stage. :( Anyone know the reason for moving it from DHS?

They also used to have stages in Fantasyland and throughout the park. I'm sure they'll just set one up wherever.
They moved it to DHS in 2008 and it was very disorganized and chaotic. Because of that, we didn't go back in 2009 and apparently, not many others did either. I heard that 2009 was much better and crowds were more manageable, and I don't think they even sold out which is rare because most special events do. I'm guessing that moving it back to MK was due to lack of attendance at DHS.

When does Disney offically announce their line up for NOJ? And when do the NOJ tickets usually go on sale?

I really wish Disney would wait until October to begin the MNSSHP.

Does anyone know specifically when the official dates for MNSSHP will be announced. I'm currently planning on Sept 21..Sep 25 and would like to know for sure. As always, the sooner the better (for making plans!)

I have been watching for the dates but have not
seen them out yet. The hours for October are
not out yet so I don't think we will get the dates
for MNSSHP until October hours come out. I
hope they come out soon as we want to go in
October so we are waiting to make our plans
when the dates come out.

I love that MNSSHP starts in September because it's considerably less crowded the first few weeks. I'm sorry but I can't stand how Disney overcrowds and oversells for the special events. Tickets for MNSSHP usually go on sale in May so expect the October dates soon.
