Anyone know the rational of why Studios closes so early in July?



July 15 -- 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
July 16,17 -- 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
July 18 -- 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
July 19 -- 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
July 20 -- 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
July 21 -- 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
July 22 -- 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
July 23,24 -- 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.


7 pm? what is up with that? Is attendance really that low at that park?

We were there last year around this time and we couldn't get into Fantasmic at 1 hour before. Its simply ridiculous to wait more than 2 hours for a show that takes 15 - 20 minutes.......

I said the same thing a while back. They do seem pretty short, however it's not my favorite park, and I have a tough time staying past noon.

They have shortened the times at DHS by several hours from prior years. I checked the June 2008 hours....For the week we were there, DHS closed at 10 PM every night. Same was true for 2007. This year, they are scheduled to close 7 PM on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, and no later than 9 PM the rest of the week. Note that AK also closes an hour earlier than 2007 and 2008.

Please remember, however, that Disney can (and does) extend their hours after the original calendar is released. Very often they schedule shorter park hours at the six month mark, and then extend them as the dates get closer and bookings heightened. :mickey:

I can't for the life of me figure out why they would close at 7pm on a Friday and Saturday (July 16-17) when we will be there. I'm sure they've tracked attendance but with the heat, a lot of people probably don't even arrive until that time. I know the economy is tough but I can't imagine bookings are that far down.

I'm kind of hoping... I don't mind the heat as much as the people in the summer. There are showers in every room!
