Upgrade Resort Before Trip with American Airlines Travel

We booked a trip thru American Airlines, at the PORFQ. But, are now thinking about upgrading the resort to the Polynessian. The problem is that it cost about a $1000 more thru AA. Do you know if AA will transfer our package into the Disney network? And, if so what is the avg. resort room upgrade?

To the best of my knowledge, you aren't going to be able to transfer an American Airlines vacation package to Disney. You'd have to cancel (and pay whatever fees might be involved), then setup a new reservation with Disney.

Not knowing exactly what you have booked through AA, it's hard to give you an accurate comparison. You could always go on the Disney website and price out what you have, using the Poly as your resort choice. In terms of just a room upgrade, a Poly garden view room is about $165 more per night over a POR standard room during value season.
