View Full Version : Wow, a big wait list shocker

I booked a 2 br standard at AKLV for Nov less than a month ago, and waitlisted for a 2 br value. The CM said that it didn't look good, since none of my nights were available.

Lo and behold, I got the letter in the mail yesterday and I got the 2 br value!

Saving points, wa-ho! :number1:

We successfully waitlisted for a studio at BWV for a week a few years ago. This May we have reservations at OKW, with a waitlist for either BLT or Villas at WL. I wonder if we'll get either.

Good for you! That value 2 bedroom at AK is a real point value. I hope to do this someday myself! :mickey:

what is the difference between the Value and Standard View?

Does a One Bedroom Value also have the extra bathroom?

Value and Standard "View" - view is the key word. Value rooms are the same as their standard counterparts except for what you see outside of your windows.

Value view is the parking lot/maintenence building/equipment/etc. view.

I would like to change my answer! I'm sooo wrong... heehee. :blush:

Jambo house has the value size rooms. The Value size rooms are smaller and the 1 bedroom value DOES NOT HAVE AN ADDITIONAL BATH. Only the Kidani 1-bedrooms have the additional bathroom.

ahh! that's the kicker right there.

We actually WANT to stay at Kidani for the extra bathroom.

We were SHOCKED about our wait list "stay". We wanted a 2 BR from 10/8-10/18 @ BLT. However, only a 1 BR was available from 10/8-10/11, then we got the 2 BR for the rest of the time. We made that reservation one day. Well just the other day I went on the DVC website and we got our 2 BR for the whole time. The date on the new reservation was the very next day from the original reservation! I couldn't believe that one day later a 2 BR became available!! We're so excited.

Our waitlist for THV came through a month after our reservation at the 7 month mark for Labor Day Weekend. Dreams do come true!

You are going to love the Treehouses!!! They are really a vacation home. The best point value IMO.
