i just saw on Disneys web page they are doing a refurb of Splash Mountain. Does anyone know if they are just doing little fix ups or changing anything major? And what changes would you want done to splash mountain?

I believe it's just maintenance/small changes. They do it every year on Splash Mountain at around the same time.

From Jan 3 to Feb 27. It's just down for its regular maintenance. Lots of relatively minor things and many of those require the track to be drained.

They were painting around the briar patch area when we were there Jan 24th.

I guess this is a ride which probably needs regular maintainence. There's a lot of theming that they need to keep fresh, a lot of anamatronics that need to be kepting working and the water running through constantly probably adds to the wear and tear.

Careful everyone, threads about Splash Mountain refurbs often seem to get emssy on here. ;)
