Which park has the music that puts you in the disney mood?

I think the most obvious is the music on Main St., but the other two would be the music in the World Showcase and the music in Africa and Asia in AK.

Well its not just one park but one ride in particular. Anytime we hear yo ho yo ho we automatically want to go back to WDW! Also anytime we hear the music from splash moutain! Those songs have us longing for disney every time we hear them!

HS doesn't have general music that puts me in the Disney mood, but if I hear Indiana Jones theme music or Star Wars, I think of Disney.

2 favorites...
The first that came to mind was the music that plays when you enter Epcot. Powerful and exciting!
The second are the trolley singer/dancers in the morning at the MK. Love that music too!

I would say it is a tie between MK and Epcot for me. I love the music in the different lands in MK, also in Epoct, the Future World music justs says "Disney music" to me, I also love how the music changes in the WS. :mickey: :)

Right now, the music that puts me in the Disney mood is the entrance music to Epcot.

Top of the list for me would probably be the Epcot entrance music. As someone already said it's a powerful, energetic, even exciting piece of music. This piece just seems to fit Epcot so well and hearing it definitely puts me into WDW-mode.

Another one I find is a combination of everything at Tomorrowland in Magic kingdom, the scenery, music and the sound of the TTA in the background. I think it helps that we visit here on our first day in the parks so it's always met with maximum excitement.

I would say the bus music from POR...I love it... I even found a ringtone that sounds like it for my phone...

Nothing is more "Disney" to me than the backgound music when I "come home" to our resort. As I'm walking up to the main lobby or after we check in and are walking the grounds, I know that at last, I'm at Disney...

The best sound is rolling my suitcase to the room from the car with my welcome home packet bursting with brochures, pamphlets and POSSIBILITIES!!!!

I also love walking up to MK and EP and hearing the Monorail wiz by.

Walking into Poly - ohana is usually our first meal there - and water and tropical (a/c) breeze that hits you in the face when you first walk into the great lobby.... oh I can hear that music now!

EP entrance music is awesome as is the MK music with the train whistling in the background. But, what really gets me crying is the "goodbye" song after Illuminations... walking up to Spaceship earth and chasing the "sparkly" sidewalk (as my DD's say). That's usually when I shed a tear... or try to blink them back.

I love the music in Space Mountain..we call it "Whale" music and everytime we hear something simular it makes me think of WDW.

wow this is a great post, i always mention to dw that when we are walking around to pay attention to the sounds that the parks have, it def puts us more in the mood while at the parks, from the drums sounding as you walk into adventurland, to the futuristic music you hear at epcot walking from mission space to the other side where soarin is, walking at the DHS to hear different movie themes and of course Ak, sets the mood very nicely as well, if we were going to place them it would be:

1. Epcot + Mk (tie)
2. AK
3. DHS

I also like Animal Kingdom's music and AKL music. Almost all Disney music is great.

I especially like the music that you don't specifically notice. Do you know what I mean? You hear it, but it's just a part of the scene. Disney does a great job of using all 5 senses to tell the story. It sets the mood, you hear it, but it's not in blaring in your face.
It makes you feel like you are in Africa or on an old fashioned main street or on an adventure.

I agree. I love the Port Orleans music. I've often tried (without success) to find its loop.

As far as park music, nothing matches main street.

I just found my "Tapestry of Dreams" cd and will listen to it over and over again all day long. :music:

Now that makes my heart swell everytime I hear it. If I close my eyes, I can see myself sitting in front of Japan right against the tape on the ground watching the giant drum wheel thingy pass by.

Its not a park, but I also really love the "western" themed background music they play at Fort Wilderness. It really sets it apart from other campgrounds and puts you in the Disney mood.

Honestly, for me, it's AK.... I can just hear the music now as I type. It's not the first park we go to, but we're usually so excited to be on Main St we totally miss the music!! AK is calmer & quieter and I just hear it more there... plus, I love how beautiful it is... :cloud9:

I agree 100%. There is something about walking out of Epcot at night, with the fireworks lighting up the ground that screams DISNEY!

Also, the Haunted Mansion and Pirates soundtracks are quintessential Disney.

If I am at home and want to be in the Disney mood I would have to say the music from Epcot does it for me, I love Illuminations, Promise, Impressions of France, Legacy etc. But if I am at WDW then the park that has the music that puts me in the mood most it would be The Magic Kingdom, especially hearing "When you wish upon a star" walking through the castle.

Not sure if they still do, but there used to be a Disney radio station you could tune into on the way down the Florida Turnpike towards Orlando. That used to start it for us, but now its anything in MK or Epcot

I don't even have to be in a park. All I have to do is walk thru the doors @ the WL, feel the "northwoods" wind gently caress my face, inhale the sweet aroma of my home-away-from-home, and hear the soothing music that beckons to me, and I know that I am truly in "The Happiest Place on Earth"! I especially love the original Future World music back in the '80's. All WDW music makes me smile, whether I'm sitting at the piano playing out of one of my Disney collections or putting in a CD of the park's music, or listening to my bamboo wind chimes which reminds me of Animal Kingdom. All time favorite still would be Main Street--That IS the spirit of Walt himself!:mickey:

I like all the african style music at AK and AKL and the futuristic music in tomorrowland in Epcot especially - and of course I love the cheerful classic disney music as you go into MK. While my favorite is Mainstreet...I also love the entrance loop to Epcot (infact i'm streaming it right now on subsonic radio--lol). Two weeks and counting...can't wait to get back.

I think all of the area music is inspiring, but two places really fit well:

1. When they play classical movie scores at MGM, oops, I mean DS.

2. The lobby music at the Wilderness Lodge. I suppose it doesn't count since it is a resort and the question was park music, but i had to make note of it. :mickey:

:mickey: MK, all the way. But non-park music that really gets me in the mood is the disney resort channel music for the weather, menus, etc. Its the jazzy versions of disney songs and its wonderful!!!
