We are thinking about buying AP's again. Can the price of that free ticket be used against the total price of the AP? Can it be used against a multi-day ticket of any kind? Thanks.

In the past, free tickets had no cash value, so they didn't provide any value towards an upgrade. There are other options for your volunteering time than tickets, which may work out to be a better deal (fastpass).

Yes, you can use the value of the ticket towards the purchase of an AP.

See this thread (http://www.intercot.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=166435) for a little more info.

Yes, you can use your ticket towards the price of an AP! This is from the FAQ for the Give a Day program taken from the Disney Parks website:

"May I upgrade my free one day ticket to an Annual Pass or multi-day ticket?

Yes, you may upgrade the free ticket to another ticket type of greater value within the applicable upgrade window. However, you are responsible for the incremental cost and the new ticket may only be used by you. No changes or refunds will be given. The value of the free ticket may not be used to combine or upgrade with a separate single or multi-day ticket."

Basically they will take $79, the cost of a 1-day adult park ticket, off the price of the AP. We plan on putting our GAD tickets toward the price of our AP renewals this May!

Cool! Very surprising, but cool...
