Is it typical for the characters to come down for meet and greets after a show? If so, do they sign autographs or just pose for pictures?

No. Every time I've seen it they just go offstage at the end.

The characters do not come down after the show. The only time they would come down is if one of the shows was canceled, and even then they don't always come out (like if it's pouring rain). If they did come down, for any reason, it would be pictures only.
