Does anyone know how Disney handles a split stay? Will you end up with two reservations?

Thanks,

We did 4 nights at CBR and 5 nights at AK back in 05. We had to have 2 seperate reservations back then, not sure if it's changed. We woke up had them come get out luggage, left for the parks and then just took a bus back to AK in the afternoon, checked in and our luggage was waiting for us.

Just to confirm... split stays requires two reservations. If you get a package with a dining plan, the meal credits for the first part of your stay will expire at midnight on the day of the switch.

Thanks. It doesn't sound too problematic. I've never done a split stay before but I am really considering it this year. We're already booked into AKL CL but DW was thinking that it might be fun to split between AKL and another CL. More research needed though.

That is correct. The package part is something you need to keep in mind. It also applies to other perks that come with packages such as tours, golf, tickets, etc.

That's good to know. Thanks for the advice.

We've done 2 split stays. It's easy to get the luggage moved. We just spend all day at the park. On the DDP we have to be careful how we manage a QS lunch on the day we are changing resorts.

Just make sure that on your 1st ressie you get enough days on your park tix to cover both ressies.
