I don't own DVC, but have a question.

Let's say I own 2 resorts with about enough points for a week at each. Can I book 2 weeks at one resort at the 11 month window, or would I have to book 1 week at each, and hope I could switch at the 7 month window?

You would have to book 1 week at 1 resort and then the other week at the other resort, and hope that you can switch at the 7-month mark.

^ is correct.. Home resort priority goes with the points, not with your contract. Each set of points has an 11 month and 7 month window. 11 months at the home resort, and 7 months everywhere else.
