Specials?

I have been trying for years to talk DH into DVC. So far no luck. I know sometimes there are deals to add points to your contract. But does Disney ever run any specials so that it takes fewer points to stay in a room?
I booked a 1 bedroom at BWV standard view for $255 a night with the Florida Res/Passholder special. It would take DVC 106 points for the 2 nights. Is there ever a deal on points used? Just wondering.

I don't think so. The points are determined for the DVC rooms for the year well in advance.
