Ok Moms I need your help feeling better about my trip. I have an 11 month old little boy who we are leaving at home with grandparents. My husband and I are flying down for a quick 3 day trip for my 30th birthday in 2 weeks. It was a quick decision and now I'm so nervous about being that far away for the first time! I LOVE Disney and know we will have a blast but I need some reassurance!

Thanks!!

I know it can be hard to leave your child and is not something I ever do lightly, but I think you should go and have a great time! Your precious boy will be with grandparents, so you know he will be safe and loved. Three days will fly by. It is so important to have some time together as a couple, and what better place to go?

Have a wonderful trip, and happy birthday!

Your child is going to have a great time with doting grandparents. You and your husband definitely deserve some alone time so go for it. ENJOY! All you need to worry about is how spoiled your child will be by the grandparents!

I know it is going to be hard. Me and my husband went on a trip when are kids were small. It is nerve wracking, but it is also necessary. We parents need time for ourselves. We really do. Enjoy yourself and it will only make you that much more excited to be a parent when you get home. Also, don't feel guilty looking at the kids while you are there. At 11 months old, you have plenty of time to go back with the little one. Use this time for yourself. But most of all, have a great time!

I know it feels a little nerve-wracking, but you're doing a great thing for your child and for you. A little separation time is good for you both. It's good for the grandparents, too (I bet they're excited!). You'll be amazed once you get there at how much fun you'll have, even though you will think of your little one often.

I can assure you that the baby will be much less worried about it than you!:mickey:
I too spent my 30th birthday at WDW without the kiddos and although there was a little guilt, it turned out to be one of the best birthdays I have ever had! Enjoy this time with your Hubby!

Thank you all so much for the encouragement! I'm feeling better about it now. I just got overwhelmed for a bit! You all are right though he may get too spoiled by grandparents and not want Mom to come back :mickey:
I can't wait!!
