2010 Vacation Planning DVD

Just received my new 2010 vacation planning DVD in the mail yesterday. Was very dissapointed to see its the same dvd from the past two years with just some cosmetic changes to the envelpoe and face of dvd. Why has Disney gotten so cheap on the DVD's? My favorite is from several years ago, it had Erin has host, Luke from a teenage point of view, and two other co-host. Anyone remember this one.

Probably cost containment on Disney's part. Instead of producing a new video each year, modify small pieces and produce a new one every five years or so.

Yes. I remember that one. I liked that one much better than the ones that followed. Don't forget about Dave, the relaxation expert... always looking for a bench.

Were there any changes to the info at all on the new one?

I haven't watched much yet but at the beginning they mention the "give a day get a day" offer other then that so far it's pretty much the same.

One thing I noticed is when looking at the Resorts videos they show the Pirate rooms at CBR but they do not show the updated rooms at CSR they still show the old rooms. Wonder why they wouldn't show the new updated rooms at CSR?

Talk about cutting back, remember the nice box the DVD used to come in? The box alone was worth getting the DVD.

I know, not really but you have to admit it was a nice container...

erin,dave,luke and stacy!!!that was the best planning dvd imho.i have two copies and will often pop it in the player just for a cool dis fix.
my dw thinks i'm nuts because i have most of the dialogue memorized!!
now when we are at wdw i'm always looking for that "bonus bench"....(double armrest):thumbsup:
the newer one's focus on the whimsy side of things and the older one was more upbeat.
i don't think i'll bother getting a 2010 version.

Yeah the one w/ the different people representing the different traits (thrills, relaxation, etc.) was the best!

Does anyone know where that one is available for download, if anywhere? Any torrents of it out there? Mousebits usually has all that one could desire but I never could find that one?

That is my favourite one too I have played it so much that it's starting to wear out. I was dissappointed when I got the same one as last year as well I thought it was just because I am in the UK and sometimes it takes them a while to get the new ones but I guess thats what we are getting this year.

Erin, Luke, Dave, and (I'm sorry I don't remember the "kids specialists name), really brought WDW to life in a whole different and fun way. I only wish that instead of quick-shooting their way thru each attraction, they would make the DVD a little longer and give each attraction the film time it deserves! :thumbsup:

This is our favorite too! Not only are the hosts entertaining, (especially Dave..."thats my bench") but it really captures the parks well and has a nice flow. We watch this one over and over. The last several years have been very boring.:ack:

Yeah, the new DVD actually put me to sleep last weekend . . . :( DS filled me in when I woke up & said it was a snorefest. DS especially loves the DVD of Erin, Luke & Dave.

I just booked my trip about a month ago and we used the video from this year to get us pumped up...

I have not seen a trip video probably in about 4 years but I was really disappointed in the video this year... it was nothing like I have seen in the past...

It seemed like they just skipped over the resorts...I want to like 10 years ago they went way more in depth with the resorts that was all my favorite part...
