I know from when we stayed at AKL, that those animals are not brought in everynight. How are they faring in those unusually cold temps that are not like anything they experience in Africa.

Good question, and I don't know the answer...but I'm sure Disney is taking care of the animals.

Most animals are warm blooded. Also, most animals are different than humans. I learned this on Survivorman. Animals capillaries are 1/2" or more below the skin which aids in keeping them warm in cold conditions. For us, our capillaries are near the edge of our skin.

Now, what they are probably doing is putting heat sources out there in the form of heat lamps. I am sure they are taking very good care of the animals that need to be brought in (like the giraffes) and those that can withstand the cold can be left out (like the cattle).
