Jan. 6, 1930 – Disney’s Silly Symphony cartoon “Summer” was released.
Jan. 6, 1939 - Disney published its first employee newsletter, “The Bulletin”.
Jan. 6, 1950 – Disney’s Pluto cartoon “Pluto’s Heart Throb” was released.
Jan. 6, 1955 - Rowan Atkinson, the voice of Zazu in Disney’s “The Lion King” was born in Newcastle - Upon - Tyne, England.
Jan. 6, 1963 – The Disney TV show aired “Three Tall Tales.”
Jan. 6, 1974 – Disney’s part-1 pf its 2-part TV movie “The Whiz Kid and the Mystery at Riverton” aired. (part-2 aired Jan. 13, 1974)
Jan. 6, 1985 - The Hallmark Card Shop on Disneyland’s Main Street closed.
Jan. 6, 1985 – The Disney Channel Premiere film “Black Arrow” aired.
Jan. 6, 1988 – The Disney TV series “The Oldest Rookie” aired for the last time on CBS.
Jan. 6, 1992 – The “Voyage of the Little Mermaid” attraction opened in Disney-MGM Studios at WDW.
